A highly concentrated emulsion system developed through the Discontinuous Cubic Liquid Crystal Phase (I1), which can be dispersed in water to create an O/W emulsion with oil droplet sizes ranging from 100-500 nm. This helps improve the stability of the emulsion and can also form thin films on the skin, providing effective occlusiveness to reduce trans-epidermal water loss efficiently. Additionally, it facilitates the better absorption of water-soluble actives into the skin.
